ബെയ്‌ജിങ്‌: പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ചൈനയിലെ ഷിന്‍ഷിയാങ്‌ പ്രവിശ്യയില്‍ വംശീയ കലാപത്തില്‍ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം 184 ആയി. 156 പേര്‍ മരിച്ചുവെന്നായിരുന്നു നേരത്തേ അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നത്‌.

വംശീയ സംഘര്‍ഷം: ഷിന്‍ഷിയാങ്ങിലെ മുസ്‌ലിം പള്ളികള്‍ അടച്ചിട്ടു
ഉറുംഖി: വംശീയ സംഘര്‍ഷം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ട പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ചൈനയിലെ ഷിന്‍ഷിയാങ്‌ പ്രവിശ്യയിലെ മുസ്‌ലിം ആരാധനാലയങ്ങള്‍ അടച്ചിടാന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഉത്തരവിട്ടു.
ഇതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ പല പ്രമുഖ പള്ളികളിലുള്‍പ്പെടെ വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ച ഉച്ചനമസ്‌കാരം നടന്നില്ല. പള്ളികളിലെ നമസ്‌കാരം ഒഴിവാക്കി വീടുകളില്‍ പ്രാര്‍ഥന നടത്താന്‍ അധികൃതര്‍ മുസ്‌ലിം മതവിശ്വാസികളായ വിഗുറുകള്‍ക്ക്‌ നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു.
വിഗുറുകളും ഹാന്‍ വംശജരും തമ്മിലുണ്ടായ സംഘര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ 156 പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതായും ആയിരത്തിലധികം പേര്‍ക്ക്‌ പരിക്കേറ്റതായുമാണ്‌ ഔദ്യോഗിക കണക്ക്‌. ശക്തമായ സൈനിക നടപടിയിലൂടെയാണ്‌ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ കലാപം അടിച്ചമര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. ഷിന്‍ഷിയാങ്ങില്‍ സ്ഥിതിഗതികള്‍ സാധാരണ നില കൈവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ആയിരക്കണക്കിനു സൈനികര്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും മേഖലയില്‍ തുടരുകയാണ്‌.

ലോക്സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ ഇടതുപക്ഷത്തിനേറ്റ കനത്ത പരാജയം ലെനിനിസ്റ്റ് തത്വങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് പാര്‍ട്ടി വ്യതിചലിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടാണെന്നാണ് സി പി എം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി പിണറായി വിജയന് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം വിശദീകരിച്ചത്. പിണറായിയുടെ നാവില്‍ നിന്നു വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ ‘ലെനിനിസ്റ്റ് തത്വങ്ങള്‍’ ഇപ്പോള്‍ മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെയും രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കന്‍‌മാരുടെയും ഇഷ്ടവിഷയമായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്.

മുംബൈ: ധനമന്ത്രി തോമസ്‌ ഐസക്‌ വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ച മുംബൈയിലെത്തി സി.പി.എം. മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര ഘടകം സെക്രട്ടറി അശോക്‌ ദാവ്‌ളെയുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തി. സി.പി.എം. മുംബൈ കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളോ മറ്റു നേതാക്കളോ അറിയാതെ രഹസ്യമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു സന്ദര്‍ശനം. ശനിയാഴ്‌ച ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്ന സി.പി.എം. കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റി യോഗത്തില്‍ സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി പിണറായി വിജയന് പിന്തുണ തേടിയാണ്‌ തോമസ്‌ ഐസക്‌ എത്തിയതെന്നാണ്‌ വിവരം.
മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയില്‍നിന്ന്‌ സി.ഐ.ടി.യു. സംസ്ഥാന പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌ കെ.എല്‍. ബജാജ്‌, കര്‍ഷകത്തൊഴിലാളി നേതാവ്‌ കുമാര്‍ ശിരോല്‍ക്കര്‍ എന്നിവരാണ്‌ അശോക്‌ ദാവ്‌ളെയ്‌ക്കുപുറമേ കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റിയിലുള്ളത്‌. ദാവ്‌ളെ കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റിയില്‍ പിണറായിക്ക്‌ അനുകൂല നിലപാട് സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്ന്‌ ഏതാണ്ടുറപ്പാണ്‌. മറ്റു രണ്ട്‌ കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളെക്കൂടി ദാവ്‌ളെ വഴി സ്വാധീനിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമോ എന്നതായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രി ഐസക്കിന്റെ സന്ദര്‍ശനോദ്ദേശ്യമെന്നറിയുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍, സി.പി.എമ്മില്‍ വര്‍ഷങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവ പാരമ്പര്യമുള്ള കെ.എല്‍. ബജാജും കുമാര്‍ ശിരോല്‍ക്കറും അഴിമതിക്കേസിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ കൂട്ടുനില്‍ക്കില്ലെന്ന്‌ പാര്‍ട്ടിയുമായി അടുത്ത കേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.

ലാവലിന്‍ എല്‍.ഡി.എഫില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്‌തതായി ഓര്‍മയില്ല- ചന്ദ്രചൂഡന്‍
ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ്. യോഗത്തില്‍ ഏറെക്കാലമായി പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന തനിക്ക്‌ എസ്.എന്‍.സി. ലാവലിന്‍ കമ്പനിയുമായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കരാറിനെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ എല്‍.ഡി.എഫില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച നടന്നിരുന്നതായി ഓര്‍മയില്ലെന്ന്‌ ആര്‍.എസ്.പി. ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി പ്രൊഫ. ടി.ജെ. ചന്ദ്രചൂഡന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
ആര്‍.എസ്.പി. കേന്ദ്രസെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റ്‌ യോഗത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി മാധ്യമപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുമായി സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. ഒരു യോഗത്തിലെ തീരുമാനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ അടുത്ത യോഗത്തില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തുകയോ മിനുട്‌സ്‌ വായിച്ച്‌ അംഗീകരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന രീതി എല്‍.ഡി.എഫിലില്ല. ലാവലിന്‍ കരാറിനെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്‌ത എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ്. യോഗത്തിന്റെ മിനുട്‌സ്‌ കാണാനില്ലെന്ന പത്രവാര്‍ത്തയോട്‌ പ്രതികരിക്കവേ പ്രൊഫ. ചന്ദ്രചൂഡന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
വെള്ളിയാഴ്‌ച ചേര്‍ന്ന ആര്‍.എസ്.പി. സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റ്‌ യോഗം തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുഫലം പ്രാഥമികമായി വിലയിരുത്തി. ശനിയാഴ്‌ച കേന്ദ്രകമ്മിറ്റി ചേരുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. 11 സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ ആര്‍.എസ്.പി. മത്സരിച്ചിരുന്നു. മൂന്നു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ മാത്രമാണ്‌ മറ്റ് ഇടതുകക്ഷികളുമായി ധാരണയിലെത്തിയത്‌. ഇടതുമുന്നണിക്ക്‌ കുറേക്കൂടി മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട നിലയില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നടത്താമായിരുന്നു. കൊല്ലം സീറ്റ്‌ ആര്‍.എസ്.പി.ക്ക്‌ തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ ഇനിയും എല്‍.ഡി.എഫില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച നടക്കും- ചന്ദ്രചൂഡന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

സി പി എം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി പിണറായി വിജയന് പ്രതിപ്പട്ടികയില്‍ സ്ഥാനം പിടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ലാവ്‌ലിന്‍ കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിവാദവും വാദപ്രതിവാദങ്ങളും കേരളത്തില്‍ കൊഴുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഇതാ ലാവ്‌ലിനെ പറ്റി രണ്ടാമത്തെ പുസ്തകവും. എസ്‌എന്‍സി ലാവ്‌ലിന്‍ കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാ രേഖകളുമടങ്ങിയ 'ലാവ്‌ലിന്‍ രേഖകളിലൂടെ' എന്ന പുസ്തകം വിപണിയില്‍ എത്തി.

പാര്‍ട്ടി ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചില 'കീട'ങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തുപോകും:ജയരാജന്‍
തിരുവനന്തപുരം: പാര്‍ട്ടി ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചില കീടങ്ങള്‍ തെറിച്ചുപോകുമെന്ന്‌ സിപിഎം നേതാവ്‌ പി. ജയരാജന്‍ എം.എല്‍.എ.ആ കീടങ്ങള്‍ ഏതൊക്കെയെന്ന്‌ ജയരാജന്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയില്ലെങ്കിലും ആനുകാലിക രാഷട്രീയ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില്‍ വി.എസ് അച്യുതാനന്ദന്‍ നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കുന്ന ഗ്രൂപ്പിലെ പ്രമുഖരെത്തന്നെയാണ്‌ അദ്ദേഹം ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചതെന്ന്‌ നിയമസഭയില്‍ ജയരാജന്‍ ഇതു പറയുമ്പോള്‍ കേട്ടിരുന്ന ആര്‍ക്കും സംശയമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.ധനാഭ്യര്‍ഥന ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു ജയരാജന്റെ 'കീട' പ്രയോഗം. വി.എസ്. അച്യുതാനന്ദനെയാണ്‌ കീടമെന്നു വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചതെന്നും ഇത്‌ അപമാനകരമാണെന്നും തിരുവഞ്ചൂര്‍ രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്‍ എം.എല്‍.എ തുറന്നടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
താന്‍ വിഎസിന്റെ പേരു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലെന്നായിരുന്നു ജയരാജന്റെ പ്രതികരണം. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി തല്‍സമയം സഭയില്‍ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇരുമ്പ്‌ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നത്‌ കൊല്ലന്റെ ആലയിലെ ഉലയില്‍ ചുട്ടുപഴുപ്പിച്ച കൂടംകൊണ്ട്‌ അടിച്ചാണ്‌. കൂടം മുട്ടുമ്പോള്‍ കീടം തെറിക്കുമെന്നൊരു ചൊല്ലുണ്ട്‌. കീടമെന്നാല്‍ തുരുമ്പാണ്‌. പാര്‍ട്ടിയില്‍ ശുദ്ധീകരണം നടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചില കീടങ്ങള്‍ തെറിക്കും. ആ തുരുമ്പുകള്‍കൊണ്ട്‌ ആയുധമുണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചാല്‍ അതു ഫലിക്കില്ല-ജയരാജന്‍ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.പിണറായിയെ അനുകരിച്ച്‌ മാധ്യമ സിന്റിക്കേറ്റിനെതിരെയും ആക്ഷേപശരമെയ്യാന്‍ ജയരാജന്‍ മടിച്ചില്ല. മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തുന്ന ശ്രമം കൊണ്ടൊന്നും കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ്‌ പ്രസ്ഥാനം തകരില്ലെന്ന്‌ അദ്ദേഹം മുന്നറിയിപ്പു നല്കി.
ഏതെങ്കിലും പത്രം എന്തെങ്കിലുമെഴുതിയാല്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടി തകര്‍ന്നുപോകില്ല. പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തെ ജീവനെക്കാള്‍ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന ഒരുപാട്‌ പേരുണ്ട്‌. ഈ പ്രസ്ഥാനം വളര്‍ന്നത്‌ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണെന്നും ജയരാജന്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാകാന്‍ കഴിയാത്തതില്‍ സങ്കടമുണ്ടോ ?
1987 നിയമസഭാതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു വേളയിലാണ്‌ ഞാന്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാവുമെന്ന്‌ പ്രചാരണമുണ്ടായത്‌. ''കേരം തിങ്ങും കേരളനാട്‌ കെ.ആര്‍. ഗൗരി ഭരിച്ചീടും'' എന്ന മുദ്രാവാക്യം പലയിടത്തും ഉയര്‍ന്നു. വി.എസ്സും പി.കെ.വി.യും എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ്. ജയിച്ചാല്‍ ഗൗരിയമ്മയായിരിക്കും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയെന്ന സൂചന നല്കി പ്രസംഗിച്ചുനടന്നു. തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ്. ജയിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ, ഇ.എം.എസ്സിന്‌ എന്നെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാക്കാന്‍ താത്‌പര്യമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. പാര്‍ട്ടി സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റില്‍ എന്നെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാക്കാന്‍ ധാരണയുണ്ടായതാണ്‌. എന്നാല്‍ ആ തീരുമാനം സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മിറ്റിക്കു വിടാതെ കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റിക്കു വിട്ടു. ഇ.എം.എസ്സിന്‌ ഈഴവസമുദായത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ട എന്നെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാക്കാന്‍ മനസ്സുണ്ടായില്ല. അദ്ദേഹം സവര്‍ണചിന്തയ്‌ക്കടിമയായിരുന്നു. ഇ.എം.എസ്സിന്റെ ചരടുവലിയെത്തുടര്‍ന്നാണ്‌ ഇ.കെ. നായനാരെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മിറ്റി തീരുമാനിച്ചത്‌. നായനാര്‍ അന്ന്‌ ബദല്‍രേഖയുടെ പേരില്‍ നടപടിക്കു വിധേയനായിരുന്നു. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാവാന്‍ കഴിയാത്തതില്‍ ഒട്ടും സങ്കടമില്ല. മന്ത്രിയായിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ ചെയ്യാവുന്നതെല്ലാം ചെയ്തു. ഇതിനു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാവണമെന്നില്ല. ഏല്‌പിക്കുന്ന ചുമതല ഭംഗിയായി നിര്‍വഹിക്കുകയെന്നതാണ്‌ പ്രധാനം.
സി.പി. എമ്മുമായി വഴിപിരിഞ്ഞതിനെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ ?
ഞാനുംകൂടി പാടുപെട്ട്‌ വളര്‍ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന പ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ്‌. എന്നെ ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്ന്‌ പാര്‍ട്ടിയെ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്ന ചിലര്‍ക്കു തോന്നി. ഞാന്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടിയില്‍ തുടര്‍ന്നാല്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന പദവി കിട്ടില്ലെന്ന്‌ അവര്‍ ഭയപ്പെട്ടുകാണും. ഇ.എം.എസ്സും വി.എസ്സും തമ്മില്‍ അകലാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ഞാന്‍ വി.എസ്സിന്റെ കൂടെയാണെന്ന്‌ ഇ.എം.എസ്സും കൂട്ടരും കരുതിയിരുന്നു.

The body of a Muslim woman, killed in a German courtroom by a man convicted of insulting her religion, has been taken back to her native Egypt for burial. Dr. Marwa Sherbini was three-months pregnant when she was murdered in court by her molester. Her murder has sparked off angry protests around the Muslim world. Dr. Marwa Sherbini, 31, was stabbed 18 times by Axel W, who is now under arrest in Dresden for suspected murder. Husband Elwi Okaz is also in a critical condition in hospital, after being injured as he tried to save his wife.
Ms Sherbini had sued her killer after he called her a "terrorist" because of her headscarf.
The case has attracted much attention in Egypt and the Muslim world.
German prosecutors have said the 28-year-old attacker, identified only as Axel W, was driven by a deep hatred of foreigners and Muslims.
'Martyr' Medics were unable to save Ms Sherbini who was three months pregnant with her second child. Her three-year-old son was with the family in court when she was killed.
Axel W and Ms Sherbini and family were in court for his appeal against a fine of 750 euros ($1,050) for insulting her in 2008, apparently because she was wearing the Muslim headscarf or Hijab.
Newspapers in Egypt have expressed outrage at the case, asking how it was allowed to happen and dubbing Ms Sherbini "the martyr of the Hijab".

Egypt cleric seeks stiff penalty for Sherbini killer
Tantawi says man who killed 'veil martyr' in Germany should receive maximum punishment.
ALEXANDRIA - A man who stabbed a pregnant Egyptian woman to death in Germany should be punished to the utmost extent of the law, Egypt's top cleric said on Monday as the woman was buried in her hometown.
"The man who killed Marwa Sherbini, the Egyptian citizen in Germany, and wounded her husband Elwi Ali Okaz should receive the maximum punishment," Grand Imam Sheikh Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi told the official MENA agency.
"The killer is a terrorist who should receive severe punishment for what he has done, something that contradicts all the values of humanity, decency and religion," he said.
Sherbini, 32, was killed in a court in the northern German city of Dresden on Wednesday shortly before she was to give evidence in an appeal lodged by her attacker.
The 28-year-old attacker, identified only as Axel W. had been convicted and fined after calling her a "terrorist" for wearing the Islamic headscarf.
According to the Egyptian press, Sherbini was three months pregnant when she was killed. She was laid to rest in her hometown of Alexandria in northern Egypt on Monday.
Her husband, a researcher in genetic engineering who was reportedly shot by German police while trying to save his wife, is still in critical condition in hospital having also been stabbed by the assailant.
Tantawi told MENA he hoped the killing of Sherbini, whom he described as a "martyr," would not negatively affect the dialogue between the West and Islam because it was "an isolated event."
